Introduction to GIS with ArcMap 8.x
This hands-on workshop will give the student an awareness of the capabilities of desktop GIS through the use of ArcMap.
The novice level of the workshop assumes only that the student can execute basic Windows operations
such as, create, manipulate, and copy folders and files.
The workshop content will include data creation, importation, manipulation, and display.
Some time will be given to exploring the capabilities of ArcGIS for spatial analysis.
Each student will receive a complete set of exercises and an associated data disk (cd) to encourage further practice.
The class consists of one full day and two half-days of instruction and exercises. The cost of the course is $800.00 per person.
