ESRI AUTHORIZED TRAINING COURSES

The Interdisciplinary Spatial Information Systems (ISIS) Center announces new opportunities for GIS training in the San Joaquin Valley. For the past seven years, the ISIS Center has offered high-quality Geographic Information Systems training at the California State University, Fresno campus. 

ISIS Center Director, Robert Slobodian, has over 30 years of teaching experience and is an ESRI authorized instructor for the following courses:

     - Introduction to ArcGIS I
     - Introduction to ArcGIS II

Training courses are conducted in our training lab at the ISIS Center which is located in the Industrial Technology Building at CSUF. Check the schedule below for upcoming training offerings and specific details about each course. If you have questions, please call 278-4951.
 
Introduction to ArcGIS I                                             

Introduction to ArcGIS I is an ESRI authorized training course designed for those new to ArcGIS and geographic information systems in general.  The class covers fundamental GIS concepts and explores how ArcMap,™ ArcCatalog™ and ArcToolbox™ work together to provide a complete GIS software solution. It also provides the foundation to enroll in Introduction to ArcGIS II. Check the schedule below for our next course offering.

Prerequisite:  Participants must be able to execute basic Windows operations.

Fee:              $900 per person
                    
                     Includes: ESRI lecture and exercise workbooks

Introduction to ArcGIS II                    
In 2006, ISIS added another dimension to our training services by offering an additional ESRI authorized course - Introduction to ArcGIS II.  This second course offering is also taught by ESRI authorized Introduction to ArcGIS II Instructor Bob Slobodian.  The course uses ESRI developed materials and extends upon what was learned in Introduction to ArcGIS I with further exploration of ArcMap,™ ArcCatalog™ and ArcToolbox™and a special emphasis on geodatabase operations. Prerequisite:  Participants must successfully complete Introduction to ArcGIS I.
